Spring at last

Friends and family at home have suffered from surprise!snow, but here in Oxford, spring has arrived. Unfortunately I've more or less been too busy writing to actually go out and enjoy it, but I've managed to take a few pictures.

The blossoms on the cherry tree outside St Mary's Church is a classic sign of spring in Oxford (Admittedly, so are the hordes of language students, but they are not as photogenic).

And the magnolia on the other side of the church entrance is getting there.

The daffodils are out in the cemetery, and on a sunny day it would be quite inviting to sit down with lunch or a bit of ice cream.

The magpie likes it too.
